Winter Weather Overflow

In consideration of the winter storm, there are several options available for people seeking shelter in Charlotte.

Men’s Shelter of Charlotte is now operating in “extreme overflow,” meaning that we can accommodate 100 additional spaces for men seeking shelter.

Room In The Inn is available for single men, single women, and women or men with children. Simply call or text “beds” to 704-312-7632 for daily bed availability, check-in, and overflow information.

The Grady Cole Center, located at 310 North Kings Drive in Charlotte, will open an overflow shelter on Saturday, December 8th at 3:00 p.m.

For people using the CAT bus to arrive at Men’s Shelter of Charlotte or the Grady Cole Center, simply tell the bus driver your destination and you should be able to ride for free.

Wondering How You Can Help?

During this time of increased capacity and emergency overflow, we greatly appreciate a financial gift.

Our most needed in-kind donations are new blankets, new boxers/boxer briefs (sizes Medium-2XL), and new towels. You can drop these items off at 1210 North Tryon Street in Charlotte. We are unable to accept used or gently used items.
