F3 (Fitness, Fellowship, Faith)
What is F3?
F3 (which stands for Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith) is a national network of free, peer-led workouts for men. F3 started a fitness group at the shelter (entitled “Fortitude“) as a way for guests to connect with physical fitness, form meaningful relationships with volunteers, and to bring people together from all walks of life.
Is F3 For Me?
F3 is only for men. We welcome men of all fitness and ability levels — we have had participants in their 70’s and 80’s, as well as people who are in wheelchairs. F3 truly believes in meeting people where they are.
How Do I Participate?
There is no membership requirement and no equipment needed. All you have to do is SHOW UP and follow the workout leader for the day (the “Q” in F3 lingo).
When Are F3 Workouts at Men’s Shelter?
Every Tuesday, rain or shine from 5:45 a.m.-6:30 a.m. Meet on the patio at 1210 North Tryon Street, and prepare to sweat!
The F3 Credo is: Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you find him.
