Information We Collect:
On select pages within Men’s Shelter of Charlotte’s (MSC) website, an individual may submit a volunteer application, make a secure donation, and/or register to receive further materials from our organization. The types of personal information collected at these pages may include:
• Address (physical and email)
• Phone number
• Credit/Debit Card Information (with a choice to sign-up for a recurring donation)
• Volunteer Interests
Using Your Information:
We only use information submitted by a donor or volunteer to follow-through on that donor’s or volunteer’s request(s) – such as processing a financial contribution or contacting an individual with a volunteer opportunity that matches their stated interest(s). We do not share an individual’s information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete your application or donation.
We use return email addresses to answer any email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
MSC never uses or shares the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, MSC has in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy:
We never collect or maintain information from our website from those MSC knows are under 13 years of age, and no part of our website is structured to attract children under 13 years of age.
How Can an Individual Access or Correct Information Submitted?
An individual may contact our Philanthropy Department at 704-334-3187 ext. 109 or Philanthropy@MensShelterofCharlotte.org to inquire about any information collected and/or to correct factual errors in one’s personally identifiable information that MSC collected.
MSC will take reasonable steps to verify an individual’s identity before granting access or making corrections.
